The GOP 5 meet for a 10th debate
The remaining Republican presidential candidates will meet in Houston for their 10th debate Thursday night —<span style="color: Red;">*</span>just five days before Super Tuesday, when 11 states will vote in the largest primary election day of 2016. Once overflowing with 17 candidates, the GOP field has narrowed to<span style="color: Red;">*</span>just five contenders:<span style="color: Red;">*</span>frontrunner Donald Trump —<span style="color: Red;">*</span>coming off of big wins in New Hampshire, South Carolina and<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Nevada<span style="color: Red;">*</span>—<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, John Kasich and Ben Carson. The debate, hosted by Wolf Blitzer, will air on CNN and Telemundo at 8:30 p.m. ET with a livestream on CNN.com.

Fliers face travel snarls after severe weather
More than 150 of Thursday's flights were canceled after a potent storm brought snow to the Midwest and severe weather to the East. The flights were canceled pre-emptively as airlines scrambled to get their planes and crews back into place. Thursday's cancellations are in addition to more than 2,250 flights<span style="color: Red;">*</span>that were canceled the day before because of the weather. Last Top 10 ever for 'American Idol'
American Idol's<span style="color: Red;">*</span>last-ever Top 10 group begins competing Thursday (Fox, 8 p.m. live ET/delayed PT). The Top 10 show will feature a twist<span style="color: Red;">*</span>in the show's<span style="color: Red;">*</span>15th and final season: The judges picked eight finalists, with<span style="color: Red;">*</span>six more<span style="color: Red;">*</span>competing for viewer votes to snag one of the two remaining spots. Those final two lucky singers will be announced Thursday.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>While each of the 10 no doubt will dream of winning the top prize,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>some of Idol's<span style="color: Red;">*</span>greatest successes —<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Jennifer Hudson and Katharine McPhee, to name just a few —<span style="color: Red;">*</span>were not champions.
'Shawshank Fugitive' might gain permanent freedom
A man who spent 56 years hiding from authorities, and was recaptured last year, may win his freedom at a parole hearing Thursday in Ohio. Frank Freshwaters, best known as the "Shawshank Fugitive," was 21 and speeding when he struck and killed a man in Akron in 1957. The prosecutor's office and the victim's family will testify against his release, citing that he has lived free, had a family and avoided all responsibility for the crime.
