Pivotal hearing for 'affluenza' teen Ethan Couch
The Texas teen*known for his*"affluenza" defense*when he was*given probation for killing four people*in a 2013 drunken-driving crash*could be transferred to adult court*following a Friday hearing. He could *face 120 days in jail.*Authorities say Ethan Couch and his mother*fled to Mexico after a video*surfaced that purportedly showed*him at a party where alcohol was served. Drinking alcohol would violate*his probation. (They both returned to the U.S. in January.*Because Couch was 16 at the time of the crash, a judge sentenced him in juvenile court to 10 years' probation and a stint in a rehabilitation center.

'Organic' pot? Nope. But maybe 'pesticide-free' in Colorado
The latest issue to crop up over legal pot in Colorado? Whether or not it's "organic." The state on Friday will look at a proposal*to create a new "pesticide-free" system for marijuana labeling. If it becomes law, Colorado would be the first legal weed state to tighten the rules for advertising pot products as organic. What makes this issue tricky? Organic certification is overseen by the federal government and, since the feds consider pot illegal, it can't be labeled as such. But that also means right now there's nothing stopping growers from attaching the label to their wares.
