[h=2]Senate to vote on four gun-control measures[/h]The U.S. Senate will vote Monday on*four gun-control-related measures proposed in the aftermath of the Orlando nightclub massacre. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., held a marathon filibuster last week to demand action on gun control, which resulted in legislation from both sides of the aisle. Either sides’ measures would need 60 votes to proceed, so it's going to take a bipartisan effort for any of them to pass.

[h=2]Sandy Hook families get hearing against gunmaker[/h]A hearing will take place Monday between rifle maker Bushmaster Firearms International and nine families of the victims and one survivor of the Sandy Hook Elementary mass shooting. The lawsuit alleges Bushmaster recklessly marketed the AR-15 military-style weapon used by gunman Adam Lanza to murder 26 children and adults in Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 14, 2012. The case challenges the limits of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), passed by Congress in 2005 to insulate firearm manufacturers from lawsuits.
