1. Amtrak restores service between Philly, New York
Amtrak service in the busy Northeast corridor resumed Monday, nearly a week after a Tuesday-night crash shut down all service between Philadelphia and New York. The National Transportation Safety Board is downplaying reports suggesting a projectile, such as a rock or bullet, hit the train shortly before it sped up and derailed at a curve. The crash killed eight people and injured more than 200 others.
2. 35th anniversary of the 'deadliest volcanic event' in the history of the U.S.
Monday marks the 35th anniversary of the eruption of Mount St. Helens in Washington state. The eruption spewed ash, rock and hot gases into the air and caused mud to flow down the mountainsides. It was "the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event in the history of the United States," according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Fifty-seven people were killed in the eruption. In the months leading up to the eruption officials warned residents that they should evacuate. Some of those who died refused to leave while others stayed for work. The International Trade Commission determined the total cost of damage and rebuilding efforts from the eruption came to an estimated $1.1 billion.

3. Tennis Hall of Fame Museum opens with a Roger Federer hologram
The International Tennis Hall of Fame is re-opening its doors this week after closing for a $3 million makeover aimed at highlighting the game's impact on pop culture. The Newport, R.I.,-based museum will feature a hologram of 17-time grand slam winner Roger Federer and the "catsuit" Serena Williams wore during the 2002 U.S. Open. The museum hopes the additions will attract more tourists to the area.

4. It's decision time for the Supreme Court
Oral arguments for the 2014 term are done, but the justices have 34 of 67 cases left to decide. The biggest ones — which will determine the future of same-sex marriage and Obamacare — probably will wait until late June. But as early as Monday, the court could decide whether Americans born in Jerusalem can have "Israel" listed on their passports; whether posting threats online, such as on Facebook, is a crime or free speech; and whether civil rights lawsuits over housing must prove intentional discrimination.

5. Final 3 compete for 'DWTS' trophy
The mirrorball trophy is up for grabs as Dancing with the Stars' final three couples take the floor Monday to compete in the ABC dance competition (8 p.m. ET/PT). After last week's surprise elimination of Olympian Nastia Liukin and five-time pro champ Derek Hough, it's hard to guess who will be crowned Season 20 winners Tuesday.
