1. Kim Davis returns to work
Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who was held in contempt of court for refusing to grant same-sex marriage licenses, is set to return to work Monday —*though she probably won't be walking in to Eye of the Tiger. While Davis has some high-profile supporters, including several presidential candidates, some groups are not pleased. In response to her impending return, Planting Peace erected a billboard in Davis' hometown of Morehead, Ky., Sunday that reads: "Dear Kim Davis, The fact that you can't sell your daughter for three goats and a cow means we've already redefined marriage."

European interior and justice leaders are*meeting Monday in Brussels to consider a proposal for mandatory refugee quotas in response to the ongoing migrant crisis. Last week, the European Commission said the 28-member bloc needed to distribute 160,000 refugees across the European Union. "The refugee crisis will not simply go away," commission President Jean-Claude Juncker told lawmakers. "It is high time to act."*Monday's meeting comes a day after Germany imposed emergency controls to reduce the flow of migrants entering its borders, a move that could worsen the crisis and heighten political tensions.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is set to speak at evangelical Christian Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
