Patriots or Seahawks. It's time to pick a side!
So there's this super small, kind of obscure event on Sunday called the Super Bowl. Have you heard of it? All kidding aside, it's game time! Famously, it's the most watched television event of the year and with the New England Patriots taking on the Seattle Seahawks, the game's expected to be a good one. Not a fan of the game? No worries. We've got the commercials and the recipes you need to make it through.
Fur will fly at the Puppy Bowl
Sure, sure, football is great and all, but this weekend is all about the pups. Discovery Channel's annual Puppy Bowl will have you oooh-ing and ahhh-ing Sunday afternoon as it celebrates its 11th year. The competition is fur-ocious this year featuring dozens of rescue puppies vying for top dog. It will air at 3 p.m. ET before the Super Bowl.
A wintry mess of snow and sleet hits major cities
A winter storm is set to deliver snow from the Midwest to the East Coast through Monday, less than a week after the so-called Blizzard of 2015 dumped more than 2 feet of snow across New England. Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City and Boston are all in the path of the storm. Those cities could see 6 to 12 inches of snow, according to AccuWeather.
Fans say goodbye to Ernie Banks
"Mr. Cub" makes one final trip to Wrigley Field on Saturday after a memorial service in Chicago. The Chicago Cubs say a procession will take Banks past his statue at Daley Plaza downtown and the ballpark's famed marquee. There will be tributes and readings from a long list of dignitaries during the service, including Cubs owner Tom Ricketts, Gov. Bruce Rauner, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
