Congress to address skyrocketing prescription drug costs
The man best recognized for hiking the price of an HIV drug<span style="color: Red;">*</span>more than 5,000% — Martin Shkreli<span style="color: Red;">*</span>— will testify before Congress Wednesday alongside other pharma company executives and FDA officials about the skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Don't expect the former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, LLC<span style="color: Red;">*</span>to say much, though; he's expected to plead the Fifth Amendment<span style="color: Red;">*</span>after<span style="color: Red;">*</span>his new lawyer<span style="color: Red;">*</span>told him to zip it.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Brand-name medicine costs have more than doubled in the past five years. A recent Kaiser Health tracking poll found that 72% of Americans consider drug costs to be unreasonable.

Deadline looms to claim $63M lottery prize
A fortune may be about to slip away: A California lottery winner could lose a $63 million dollar prize if he or she doesn't claim the<span style="color: Red;">*</span>winnings by Thursday. The winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in Chatsworth, Calif., for the Aug. 8, 2015, draw, according to the California Lottery. Winners have 180 days to claim their winnings, the lottery said. If the winning ticket is not claimed by 5 p.m., the money will go to California public schools.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>The winning numbers?<span style="color: Red;">*</span>46-1-33-30-16 and the<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Mega number<span style="color: Red;">*</span>24.

Funeral held for Virginia teen
Family, friends, a college town and a major university will mourn Thursday when 13-year-old Nicole Lovell<span style="color: Red;">*</span>is laid to rest<span style="color: Red;">*</span>in<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Blacksburg, Va.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Lovell, who survived a liver transplant at 10 months and non-Hodgkins lymphoma less than four years later, was fatally stabbed last week. Her<span style="color: Red;">*</span>death has rocked the town of 40,000 residents<span style="color: Red;">*</span>and the 30,000-student university. Two Virginia Tech students<span style="color: Red;">*</span>face charges related to Lovell's death:<span style="color: Red;">*</span>David Eisenhauer is charged with abduction and murder, and<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Natalie Keepers is charged with being an accessory before the fact in the murder,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>illegally disposing of a body and accessory after the fact.
