The hour-long discussion will focus on race relations, justice, policing and equality, and comes after two African-American men were shot and killed by police in Louisiana and Minnesota and a sniper claimed the lives of five police officers at an otherwise peaceful protest in Dallas. The President and The People: A National Conversation will be simulcast commercial-free at 8 p.m. ET.
