England to play France at soccer in wake of tragedy
The soccer match Tuesday between England and France is more than just a game;*it's become a poignant act of defiance, solidarity and sporting unity. The friendly*at Wembley Stadium in London*is France's first big event since Friday's horrific attacks in Paris, where terrorists targeted numerous sites around the city*— including the France-Germany soccer game. All told,*129 died in the coordinated attacks and hundreds were injured.*At Tuesday's game, which airs at 3 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, the*words of La Marseillaise,*France's national anthem, will be shown on giant screens so that England fans can sing along.*The French motto, "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité" will be projected onto the front of the stadium. And the stadium's arch*will be illuminated in the red, white and blue of the French flag.
Keep an eye to the sky: It's meteor time!
The Leonid meteor shower, an annual mid-November treat, is set to peak Tuesday and Wednesday. Estimates range from seeing a few meteors up to dozens per hour at the peak. As with most meteor showers, the best time to watch the Leonids is usually between midnight and dawn. Those in the Southwest will likely have the best view, as*clouds from a sprawling storm will likely obscure the show in much of the central and northwestern U.S., according to AccuWeather. Much of the East Coast should have "fair" visibility.

Car show season kicks off with the L.A. Auto Show
The Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens to the media on Tuesday, is the first big car show of the season. A number of autos aimed at a more carefree, open-road lifestyle — convertibles, performance cars, coupes and at least one that blurs the lines — will be on display. Also a hot topic? Self-driving car technology. The show opens to the public on Friday. New models being introduced run the gamut from some of the most inexpensive, like the Mitsubishi Mirage compact, to some of the swankiest, like Mercedes-Benz’s new SL luxury roadster.
