1. Who will be the next 'American Idol'?
Can't you just hear Ryan Seacrest's dramatic voice? Clark, Jax and Nick are the only three left and Season 14's two-night finale starts Tuesday (9 p.m. ET/PT) with performances and wraps up on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET/PT), culminating with a newly crowned winner. This will be the second-to-last time a new Idol is crowned as the show announced that next season will be its last. All together, Idol alumnae have sold more than 130 million tracks, winning Grammys and even Oscars along the way.
2. Hall of Fame great Yogi Berra turns 90
Yankees icon Yogi Berra turns 90 Tuesday, and although his family and friends say the Hall of Fame catcher is feeling those years, he is expected to make the drive to the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center to attend the celebration of his latest milestone. Berra played in 15 All-Star Games, won 10 World Series championship games and won three American League Most Valuable Player awards, but he is best known for his Yogi-isms such as, "When you come to a fork in the road, take it," and "It's déjà vu all over again." Oh, and don't forget the classic quote, "Baseball is 90% mental. The other half is physical." And, as Berra begins the tenth decade of his life, he's living proof "it ain't over 'til it's over."
3. Virginia's former governor faces appeals court
Former Virginia governor Bob McDonnell is due in federal appeals court in Richmond on Tuesday. A jury last year found McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, guilty of taking gifts and loans from a vitamin executive in exchange for promoting his products. The appeals court that will hear Tuesday's arguments allowed the ex-governor and his wife to remain free on bond while they challenge their convictions. The court said McDonnell's appeal raises a substantial question of law or fact that could warrant reversal or a new trial.
4. Obama's presidential library finds a home, officially
President Obama's future presidential library will be housed at the University of Chicago, reports say. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who was President Obama's chief of staff and led the lobbying effort to bring the presidential library to the city, is expected confirm the rumors Tuesday. The university was picked over Columbia University in New York, the president's alma mater, as well as the University of Hawaii and the University of Illinois-Chicago.

5. Kerry heads to Russia to hold talks about Ukraine
Secretary of State John Kerry is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for talks on Ukraine. The talks, to take place in Sochi, come amid badly damaged relations between Moscow and Washington. The crisis in Ukraine began in April 2014. The West accuses Russia of supporting the separatist rebels in Ukraine with arms and manpower. Moscow consistently denies that allegation and says Washington's attempts to train Ukrainian troops are not helpful. Kerry is in Russia "to discuss a full range of bilateral and regional issues, including Iran, Syria and Ukraine," the State Department said. He is also scheduled to meet with his Russian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
