Singles Day online shopping spree in China
The world's biggest one-day shopping spree could bring in up to $11 billion in sales on Wednesday. The event known in China as Singles Day kicked off at midnight and generated more than $3 billion in its first 30 minutes, reported online retailer Alibaba,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>which created the event six years ago. "It’s literally a 24-hour orgy of consumption,” said<span style="color: Red;">*</span>author and consultant Michael Zakkour. Singles Day sales in China are expected to be bigger than Black Friday weekend and Cyber Monday combined.

43 Chipotle stores reopening after E. coli outbreak
Chipotle fans in the Pacific Northwest are getting their restaurant back. Forty-three of the stores will begin to reopen Wednesday after an E. coli outbreak shuttered stores for nearly two weeks. More than three dozen customers were sickened after eating at 11 of the fast/casual restaurants, but all<span style="color: Red;">*</span>of the locations<span style="color: Red;">*</span>in Oregon and Washington were shut down. They've all<span style="color: Red;">*</span>had deep cleanings and will reopen with fresh ingredients, Chipotle said.

Storm sends<span style="color: Red;">*</span>snow and possible tornadoes to central U.S.
A powerful storm is forecast to deliver a wild mix of both wintry and severe weather to the central U.S. on Wednesday.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Blizzard conditions are possible in<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>the National Weather Service said.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>To the east and south of the wintry weather, a severe weather outbreak is forecast for the Plains and Mississippi Valley, with the biggest threat in<span style="color: Red;">*</span>eastern Nebraska, central and southern Iowa, and northern Missouri into Illinois.
