Obama pardons a turkey —*and you can help decide which one
Are you Team Honest? Or Team Abe?*President Obama continues the tradition of pardoning*a turkey before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, when we'll find out whether Honest or Abe (so named by California schoolchildren) is spared the *gulp* chopping block.*Both gobblers weigh in at 42 pounds with 6-foot wingspans, and you can vote below for the winning bird through the National Turkey Foundation. (Don't worry,*both actually*go to live on the same Virginia farm.)*Another thing to watch for this year:*if Sasha and Malia give Dad a repeat side-eye.

Thanksgiving is almost here*— meaning it's a very busy travel day
If you’re hitting the road Wednesday with an eye on a turkey dinner, you’re not alone. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is typically the busiest travel day of the holiday weekend. You’ll want to avoid the roads from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. if you can, because that’s when traffic app Waze reports will be a peak time for drivers to be on the roads. For those*traveling by air,*Wednesday should be relatively calm. A large storm was forecast to move from the West into the central USA, but the storm’s worst weather looked likely to spare nearly all of the USA’s big airports . That’s not to say everything is smooth sailing. A global travel warning from the State Department has added security measures.
