Protests could block last-minute shoppers at Mall of America*
A massive protest on one of the busiest shopping days of the year is not on Mall of America's wishlist. Mall authorities filed for a restraining order against leaders of a Black Lives Matter activist*group in an attempt to head off a protest scheduled for Wednesday. The legal action maintains that Mall of America and its tenants could suffer irreparable harm, including reduced guests and sales. That was the outcome of a protest held in the mall last December, when demonstrators were arrested and mall traffic was down. Black Lives Matter leaders say the protest will happen as planned.

Russian cargo ship set to dock at International Space Station
A Russian Progress cargo ship, perhaps carrying treats for astronauts, docked*Wednesday at the International Space Station. The ship is carrying more than 2.8 tons of food, fuel and supplies, and may include always-appreciated fresh fruit for the ISS crew. It launched from Kazakhstan on Monday, then safely reached orbit for its two-day journey to the ISS. Astronauts Scott Kelly, the Expedition 46 commander, and Tim Kopracompleted some repairs during a spacewalk earlier this week, which cleared room for the Progress ship to dock.
