1. Lamar Odom in hospital after being found unresponsive at Nevada brothel
Lamar Odom was taken to a hospital in Las Vegas Tuesday after he was found unresponsive at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nev.<span style="color: Red;">*</span><span style="color: Red;">*</span>The 35-year-old former NBA player, and ex-husband to reality-TV star Khloe Kardashian, was known to have dealt with drug problems in the past, though the specifics of this incident remain unclear. According to Love Ranch owner Dennis Hof, Odom had been taking herbal Viagra and had drunk part of a bottle of cognac since arriving at the brothel, but had no knowledge of his use of any other drugs. The 6-foot-10-inch Odom was too tall to be airlifted by helicopter and he was driven by ambulance to the hospital.

Constituents who respond to lawmakers' Facebook or Twitter posts are grabbing a lot of attention, a report released Wednesday says. More than a third of the congressional aides surveyed said it would take less than 10 posts on social media for their office to pay attention to what people were saying about their boss's statements or actions on an issue. The survey is by the non-partisan Congressional Management Foundation. The people who get the most attention on social media are those who respond fastest to a post from a member of Congress about a vote, action or opinion, the survey results show. "This shows that a couple dozen people can make a big impact by weighing in on a member's Twitter or Facebook page," said Brad Fitch, the foundation's president and CEO.

3. Civil Rights groups fight King monument<span style="color: Red;">*</span>at Confederate site
The Southern Christian Leadership Conference and the Atlanta and DeKalb branches of the NAACP said that they oppose placing a tribute to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at Stone Mountain, where the figures of three Confederate leaders have been engraved. The state has approved<span style="color: Red;">*</span>a plan to place a bell at the top of Stone Mountain in honor of King's call in 1963 to "let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia" during his "I Have a Dream" speech. Leaders of the organizations said they will meet Wednesday with Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal to discuss the issue.

4. MLB playoffs bring the Game 5 drama
It's an exciting day for the MLB postseason: both American League Divisional Series games are going to Game 5. The Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays play at 4 p.m. ET. The Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals are up at 8 p.m. Both series are tied 2-2, meaning the winners of Wednesday's games will play each other for the Division Championship, a best-of-7 series beginning Friday. The losers? They get some time off until next year.
5. Fever and Lynx play for the WNBA championship
It's winner-take-all in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals as the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx<span style="color: Red;">*</span>meet Wednesday in Minneapolis at 8 p.m. ET. The Finals last went to five games in 2009, when the Fever lost to the Phoenix Mercury. If Indiana wins this year, it would<span style="color: Red;">*</span>become the first No. 3 seed to win the championship. The team's coach, Stephanie White, would become the first rookie coach to win it all: "The heart that they’ve shown all season long, the unselfishness that they’ve shown all season long, the togetherness that they’ve built throughout the season, it’s just been incredible to watch this team go from where we started to where we are right now."
