A 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit southern Alaska Tuesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Service.
The quake's epicenter -- about 150 miles from Anchorage --<span style="color: Red;">*</span>was located on the western edge of the of Cook Inlet, near the Chigmit Mountains. According to USGS, it is about 45 miles southwest of Redoubt Volcano.
The National Tsunami Warning Center said the quake isn't expected to cause a tsunami.
