[h=2]We don't need spaceships anymore to learn about galaxies far, far away*[/h]This is huge.*Scientists*announced Thursday they detected gravitational waves for the first time, proving part of Albert*Einstein’s theory of relativity. The waves were caused by*the violent collision of two black holes more than a billion years*ago. Physicists everywhere are losing their minds.*Explanation for those of us who aren't geniuses:*There is so much about the universe we know nothing about, because the things we want to study are just too far away to observe with current technology. Gravitational waves help*solve that problem. According to Einstein's 100-year-old theory, when huge*objects in the universe collide, their gravity sends waves rippling through space and time. And now that we can detect those waves, they can tell us information about their source. Feel that breeze? Someone just opened a whole new window into the universe.
[h=2]The Oregon forest returns to its low-drama roots[/h]The month-long Oregon militia standoff came down to a cookie and a cigarette Thursday. That solved the moral dilemma for David Fry, 27, the final holdout in the federal wildlife refuge after his hour-long rant about everything wrong with the government. You know, like covering up UFOs. Fry was the last to go after three of his protesting peers surrendered peacefully. He gave one final demand: Everyone shout*“hallelujah” as he leaves. Luckily, the FBI agents waiting to take him in obliged. Can we*get an*“Amen!” to that?

[h=2]You love your SUV so much Ford is making four more[/h]America is in an SUV boom, and Ford doesn't want to miss out. The company will launch*four all-new sport-utility vehicles and crossovers over the next four years. Ford said it's not eliminating any current models as part of the plan. So how guilty should we*feel*about our carbon footprint? Not very. Turns out many SUVs and crossovers offer more space than a car with the same footprint and have comparable fuel economy.
[h=2]Superstitious? This probably isn’t the ship*for you*[/h]If you’re daring, a replica of the Titanic will set sail in 2018,*according to an Australian billionaire funding the project.*Clive Palmer first unveiled plans to build the Titanic II in 2012, 100 years after the original ship sank.*The new*ship will look identical to the original*but will be safer, Palmer says. We hope so. We can’t take another Jack and Rose moment. The first voyage will travel from Jiangsu, China, to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.*Guarantee there won’t be any passengers from the*Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas*cruise ship signing up!

[h=2]A dead body was in a Walmart parking lot for months and no one noticed[/h]Authorities identified the badly decomposed body that Walmart customers and employees had walked past for months. Lauren Moss, 22, was in her car in the Salinas, Calif., parking lot since December, according to security camera footage. She was reported missing in November.*The car had tinted windows and didn't appear out of the ordinary, store employees said, but they got nosy last week and noticed a body inside. The cause of death is likely suicide.
