The Republicans meet one more time before*New Hampshire
The Republican presidential field met one final time Saturday before Tuesday's New Hampshire primary. Key takeaways: 1.*It was a big night for governors. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida governor Jeb Bush each had a strong debate. But if they all had a good night, who wins Tuesday? Most likely Trump. 2. Not a good night for Rubio. He entered with momentum, but left battered. It's one thing to stay on message, it's another to keep reciting talking points. 3. Foreign policy in the mix. *No shortage of hawkish rhetoric. A sampling. 4. Hillary. She was there*in spirit, but*a smaller factor in the debate. Paging Dr. Carson. The best part of the night was the complete mess the candidates made of getting on*the stage. Watch Ben Carson and Trump both miss their cues. A full fact check*of the debate here.

International community condemns North Korean rocket launch
In another apparent act of defiance of international norms, North Korea fired a long-range missile over Japanese airspace Sunday, bringing quick condemnation from the United States and its allies in the region. The launch is widely believed to be a test of a new missile system that could reach as far as the United States*and comes only weeks after North Korea conducted its fourth nuclear weapons test. Both are banned by United Nations resolutions. The U.N.*Security Council, in a statement Sunday approved by all 15 council members, pledged to “expeditiously” adopt a new resolution with “significant” new sanctions.

Brett Favre, whose durability and gun-slinging approach to quarterbacking captivated the imagination of football fans for two decades, became the 14th first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback after being voted in on Saturday night. He became one of eight members of the 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. Owner Eddie DeBartolo, Jr., coach Tony Dungy, linebacker/defensive end Kevin Greene, wide receiver Marvin Harrison, tackle Orlando Pace, quarterback Ken Stabler and guard Dick Stanfel also made the cut.
Rescuers in Taiwan search through rubble from earthquake for more survivors
The death toll from the magnitude-6.4 earthquake that struck Taiwan climbed to at least 26 people Sunday, and more than 100 remained in the rubble of a 17-story residential building that collapsed, officials said. In the southeast coastal city of Tainan, one or two survivors at a time were pulled from the ruins of the high-rise building that fell like an accordion in Saturday's earthquake and has become the focal point of the disaster. More than 300 people have been rescued, and more than 500 were injured, according to Taiwan's state-owned Central News Agency.

'SNL' feels the Bern
It had to happen, right? With Larry David hosting SNL*Saturday night, a Bernie Sanders cameo seemed a safe bet, and it was. The Democratic presidential hopeful joined the Seinfeld co-creator*and*Curb Your Enthusiam star, and (more recently) Sanders impersonator in a sketch about a ship in peril. Sanders enters the scene as an enraged passenger railing against David's character, who's arguing for a space on a lifeboat on account of his wealthy family. Sanders even manages to get in a "Yuge," channeling his inner Donald Trump.
