As predicted, the great East Coast blizzard of 2016 is hitting states all up and down the East Coast hard. The storm's effects stretched from Georgia<span style="color: Red;">*</span>to Massachusetts.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Here's a look at where we're at.
More than 60<span style="color: Red;">*</span>million people<span style="color: Red;">*</span>are under blizzard, winter storm<span style="color: Red;">*</span>or freezing rain warnings today.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>As of 4 p.m. ET, here's where the snowfall totals are at:
And, according to USA TODAY Weather, the D.C. area is due to get another<span style="color: Red;">*</span>3 to 9 inches,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>while the New York City area is estimated to receive another 5 to 10 inches.

Travel in the region has been at a virtual standstill.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>As of 1:25 p.m. ET Saturday, nearly 9,500 U.S. flights had been canceled from Friday through Sunday. Additionally, all flights were halted Saturday at four of the nation’s busiest airports: Philadelphia, Washington Dulles, Washington Reagan National and Baltimore/Washington International.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>In New York,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued a travel ban for New York City and Long Island, including all travel from New Jersey bridges and tunnels into and out of the city beginning at 2:30 pm ET. Additionally, above ground subway stations were going to be closing.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Public transportation in Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. continues to be shut down. Major highways were also impassible, including parts of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, where the Duquesne men's basketball team was among those stranded.

A United Airlines flight from San Francisco rolled all the way to the end of a runway, Friday, when it landed at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. At least 12<span style="color: Red;">*</span>people died in storm-related crashes in Tennessee, Kentucky,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia, the Associated Press reported.
According to The Weather Channel, some<span style="color: Red;">*</span>250,000 customers were without power<span style="color: Red;">*</span>due to the storm that has roared up the East Coast. In Sea Isle, N.J., tidal flooding sent a river of ice flowing several blocks down JFK Blvd. through a major retail area. Darren Laricks, a dispatcher with the Sea Isle police department, said the water was beginning to recede in the main street before noon but was expected to return at high tide after 7 p.m.

Winter storm Jonas looks pretty ferocious from space.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>NASA astronaut Scott Kelly tweeted pictures of view of the epic storm from the International Space Station on Saturday morning.

The Washington Metro system may be closed, but members of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, also known as "The Old Guard," are staying with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery despite the conditions. <span style="color: Red;">*</span>"The Tomb Guards maintain a constant vigil at the Tomb no matter the weather conditions," states the group's Facebook page.
