A multi-county<span style="color: Red;">*</span>child abuse investigation in<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Northern California has led to the discovery of two bodies in a storage unit, authorities said.
Tami Joy Huntsman, 39, and Gonzalo Curiel, 17, of Quincy, were<span style="color: Red;">*</span>booked into the Plumas County Jail on charges of felony child abuse, torture and mayhem, the Redding Police Department said in a statement.
"Further investigation ultimately led to the discovery of two deceased juveniles inside of a storage unit in the city of Redding," the statement said. Police said the<span style="color: Red;">*</span>case was being investigated as a homicide pending completion of autopsies. The identities of the victims were not released.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Quincy is about 140 miles east<span style="color: Red;">*</span>of Redding, which is in Shasta County.
A third abused child was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries, KSBW-TV reported. The station,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>citing police sources, said the children who were found dead were siblings ages 5 and 3.
Redding, with a population of about 90,000,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>is about<span style="color: Red;">*</span>200 miles north of San Francisco.
