It looks as if New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie won't be monitoring his state's response to a blizzard from the campaign trail in New Hampshire.
"I gotta go home," he said at a town hall Friday. "We've got snow coming."
On Thursday, Christie had told reporters he was<span style="color: Red;">*</span>not planning to return to New Jersey, though he said he’d shift gears if warranted.
When asked Thursday afternoon<span style="color: Red;">*</span>about staying in New Hampshire during the snowstorm by WMUR television at<span style="color: Red;">*</span>a campaign<span style="color: Red;">*</span>event, Christie said,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>"If I feel like it's necessary for me to get down there, I will, but I'm not driving a plow truck, OK? ... We have all of our people ready to go. They know what to do. We've been through Hurricane Sandy, this Cabinet, so 6, 8, 10, 12 inches of snow on a weekend will not be something that I think will be more than we can handle."
In 2010, Christie was criticized for not cutting short or canceling a family vacation to Walt Disney World while a major snowstorm crippled the state. That time, Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno was also out-of-state on a family trip, leaving Senate President Stephen Sweeney as the acting governor.
