The national weather forecast for Friday, December 25th calls for more record warmth for the East and Southeast while snow continues to fall out West.
East: Another day of record-breaking, spring-like warmth is on tap for Christmas Day in the East, as high temperature soar into the 60s, 70s and 80s. Some rain showers in the Mid-Atlantic will be the only major weather problem for the region.
South: Drenching rain is in the forecast for portions of the Southeast, Tennessee Valley and Appalachians on Friday, potentially leading to flooding in these areas.
Central, western U.S.: A large portion of the western and north-central U.S. will see cold and snowy weather on Christmas Day. The heaviest snow will fall in the central Rockies and the Sierra.
