Severe weather will again threaten the central and southern Plains Friday while snow and wintry weather is likely in the Rockies.
Central U.S.: Severe storms -- including wind, hail and a few tornadoes -- could fire up in the central and southern Plains. Parts of Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Louisiana are most likely to see the bad weather.
West: Much of the mountain West will see some chilly rainshowers while some snow flies at higher elevations.
East: Most of the eastern third of the nation will be dry on Friday, though some afternoon thunderstorms are possible in Florida. The Northeast will stay in the cool 40s and 50s.
