New England and the Southwest will see some of the nation's wildest weather on Friday.
Northeast, New England: Heavy snow will pound much of northern New England on Friday, while scattered snow showers, chilly temperatures and howling winds spread across the rest of the northeastern U.S.
Southwest: Rain and the chance for flash flooding could ruin Super Bowl festivities in Arizona. Southern California and Nevada will also see some showers. Elsewhere, mountain snow will whiten the central and southern Rockies and the Sierra.
Southeast: Sunny skies and warm temperatures in the 50s, 60s and 70s will make for a pleasant day across most of the South and Florida.
