If there’s one thing the Internet is good at, it’s
pointing out mistakes … especially ones NSFW.
As USA TODAY College<span style="color: Red;">*</span>
previously reported, George Mason University announced on March 31 that the George Mason School of Law would be renamed The Antonin Scalia School of Law to honor the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
But it didn’t take long for the<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Internet to discover<span style="color: Red;">*</span>a disturbing and/or amusing acronym, depending on your perspective, for the newly named school:
Perhaps not surprisingly, the school quickly revised it. In an<span style="color: Red;">*</span>
April 5 announcement, it said it’s been changed to The Antonin Scalia Law School.
The now completely-safe-for-work name (at least, for now) should be in effect July 1.
RIP #ASSLaw, it was fun while it lasted.
