HOUSTON – The suspect*accused of killing a Texas man who became infamous for*having sex on a Las Vegas Ferris wheel is speaking out for the first time from jail.*
Phillip Panzica, 27, was*murdered*inside his former fiancée’s vehicle outside a Houston nightclub on March 19. Police later charged Bryant Watts, 28, and Aaron Jones, 31, with capital murder.
"I told (police) I shot him. I didn't have anything to hide," Watts told*KHOU-TV on Wednesday night inside the Harris County Jail.
Police said Panzica was picking up his*fiancée, Mistie Bozant, from work at Vivid, a gentleman’s club on Richmond Avenue around 5 a.m.
Watts said he and*Jones are brothers and*that the two*worked at a local nightclub. Watts*claims he*only knew*Panzica and Bozant for about two weeks and that it was his brother who wanted to hang out with them after work.
"My brother may have thought he and Mistie had some sort of relationship," said Watts. "I knew something bad was going to happen."
Police said both Watts and Jones were in Bozant’s car at the time of the shooting. Watts says he asked the couple to take him home, but they refused.
"I began to feel like we were in danger," he said. "Phillip was reaching for something."
Watts admits he shot Panzica because he believed Panzica and Bozant wanted to take $700 in cash that he had with him.*
But police say it was the other way around. *According to Houston police, Bozant said the*two suspects were sitting in the backseat when Watts told Panzica to "come clean" before shooting him multiple times.

Bozant said that *Panzica bragged*about the money he and Bozant*made off an interview with*Inside Edition*to the two men now charged with his murder. Bozant claims she had a*$4,000 check from the*interview and cash in her purse the night Panzica was killed.
"Philip didn't even have time to talk, the guy just shot him five times in the head," Bozant said.
Witnesses said they saw the suspects exit the vehicle, pull Panzica's body from the car and leave him in the roadway before demanding his fiancee to get out of the vehicle.

Bozant says she tried to save Panzica.
"I was like, 'baby, stay with me.'*I could still see his heart beating, but his eyes were just glassy," she said.
The car was found crashed more than 300 miles away outside San Angelo, Texas. Law enforcement there recognized the suspect's car and arrested the two suspects.*Watts claims he didn’t know about Panzica’s involvement in the Ferris wheel incident and that “he was just another guy to me.”
"I'm sincerely apologetic," said Watts, who told us he wanted Panzica's family to hear his message. "I'm deeply sorry for the loss. They are in my prayers."
