[h=2]No one's laughing at the GOP circus anymore[/h]At first it seemed funny. Then it got ugly. Now it's turned dangerous. The Republican presidential race heads toward important primaries Tuesday (Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina) under the cloud of a troubling new issue: the prospect of violence. We'll give you one guess who's being blamed for inciting it. Yup. Donald Trump canceled a Chicago rally Friday after a near-riot. Kansas City police pepper-sprayed protesters at a Trump event Saturday. A Breitbart News reporter who said a top Trump aide assaulted her has resigned. At a Trump event Sunday in Florida, a protester yelled: "Make America hate again!" Trump's rivals seem to agree that's what he's selling, so much so that Marco Rubio and John Kasich say they're not sure they'd*back Trump in the general election. A USA TODAY/Rock the Vote poll out Monday found opposition to Trump nearly unites the rising generation of millennials.*In a hypothetical Clinton vs.*Trump contest in November, voters under age 35 would choose Clinton by a crushing 52%-19%.*The last*hope for the GOP*if they can't stop Trump's rise:*a contested convention.

Kansas City Police tweeted "we had to use pepper spray 2 times outside Trump rally and arrested 2 people who refused to follow the law." VPC

[h=2]Is the Islamic State losing its appeal?[/h]For at least these two dudes,*yes.*On Monday, Kurdish military authorities said a Virginia man fighting with the terrorist group in Iraq*turned himself in*while*trying to flee to Turkey. (U.S. officials couldn't immediately confirm whether he was*an American citizen.)*Last week,*a disillusioned former Islamic State militant reportedly leaked documents containing the names, addresses and phone numbers of thousands of the group’s extremists.*The Obama administration estimates there are now fewer than 25,000 Islamic State militants, down about 6,000 from less than two years ago.
[h=2]The perfect bracket is more important than professional productivity*[/h]It doesn't matter who leaked the bracket for the NCAA men's basketball tournament. And all the bold predicting*and thoughtful analyzing doesn't matter much —*the Cinderellas, Final Four sleepers and title contenders will sort themselves out.*But OMG, until we hear Luther Vandross sing One Shining Moment*we will plan and plot, dammit. We will shake our fist at the Selection Committee (You left out Monmouth?!) We will print brackets and create office pools and even pit the mascots against one another. Why? Because the Madness we sign up for in March is as American as Pi Day.

[h=2]You'll never guess what's become of Kim Kardashian's nude selfie*[/h]The streets didn't want a giant, building-length mural of Kim Kardashian's nude selfie.*But they got it anyway. Street artist Lush Sux*claimed credit on Instagram for the enormous mural he painted on the side of a printing business in Melbourne, Australia. It now sits next to a smaller mural of Donald Trump. Their poor neighbors.

[h=2]A version of Scarlett Johansson*could be organizing your email contacts soon[/h]We love machines getting smarter. Progress! But we’re also afraid of machines getting smarter. Apocalypse! That chilling theme was explored by technologists at SXSW, a tech festival that's seen its share of humans rising up against machines. (Last year a group called Stop the Robots demonstrated against an automated future.)*Dag Kittlaus, who invented Siri, said he's unveiling personal assistant Viv later this year. “The more you ask of Viv, the more it will get to know you,” he said, calling her “a giant brain in the sky.” Creepy. Cool. Creepy-cool.
[h=2]Extra Bites[/h]Nerds, it's the very best day of the year: Pi Day.*March 14th, aka 3/14, aka 3.14, the first three digits of that number you used with circles and stuff in middle school.*How do we celebrate this glorious confluence of mathematical synergy? By eating pies, obviously.
Chipotle is in crisis. Its CEOs, however, are still making $14 million each.
The Los Angeles County coroner has quit his job. Meanwhile, 180 bodies are piled up in the morgue.*
