Paul Ryan read off the official count of delegate votes for the Republican Party's presidential nominee on the second day of the Republican National Convention.
Nevada's capital is Las Vegas?
That's what Nevada GOP Chairman*Michael McDonald said during today's roll call at the Republican National Convention where each state tells how many delegates it gives to the candidates.
He probably meant to say "the entertainment capital Las Vegas." Instead, he said, "From the great shores of Lake Tahoe to the most entertaining capital city, Las Vegas, Nevada, this time what's said in Las Vegas will not stay in Las Vegas."
Mashable immediately pounced on Twitter, showing the video and adding*the comment, "The Nevada delegate gets his own capital city wrong."
Perhaps in a kindness to McDonald, it didn't mention he also mispronounced "Kasich."
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel also quickly tweeted, "note to the Just For Men customer-delegate representing Nevada — the state capitol is Carson City, not Las Vegas."
