Three people were killed and 20 were injured Saturday in an attack on a United Nations base in Mali, officials said.
Attackers fired rockets at the<span style="color: Red;">*</span>base in Kidal<span style="color: Red;">*</span>around 4 a.m. local time, the head of the U.N.'s Mali division,<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Mongi Hamdi, said in a statement.<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Two peacekeepers and a contractor were killed.
At least 20 others were hurt in the attack, and four of those people had serious injuries, he said.
"I want to reiterate that these attacks will not impede the determination of the United Nations to support the Malian people and the peace process," he said.
