[OzzModz] Periodic Email Verification Released vB 3.6 - 4.x

Another mod brought to you by,

This mod will allow admins to require users to confirm their email address periodically.

It is a simple installation, just upload the contents of the UPLOAD folder, then import the product XML, ozzmodz_email_verify

You can edit the options under the settings, [OzzModz] Periodic Email Verification Settings

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

Users that are returning to my site after and extended absence, seem to be put into an infinite loop by this MOD. One of the comments was: "I can't update/complete profile. Link takes me back to email verification page each time I click on profile." For now I've disabled the MOD, but am wondering if you have ever encounter other admins with this issue?

THE AFTERMATH:
Here's what I think was happening. If a user had been absent over 275 days from the board, then this MOD required them to re-validate their email. This MOD by itself, has always seemed to work just fine.

However, I declared an existing user profile field (i.e. CITY) to now be required by all users so it also tried to take the lead in forcing users to put that data into the database immediately.

RESULT: Which came first, Revalidate your email -or- What is your (required) CITY? Apparently the code for each was trying to take the lead and get the data first. If a user did not have a CITY entry yet & had not been on the board for 275+ days…a train wreck ensued.

Luckily, disabling this MOD allowed users to update the CITY field and not get stuck in a loop.
