CINCINNATI — An Ohio man is facing charges after
he called 911 repeatedly "for months," requesting medical assistance because he was drunk, according to court documents.
Richard Hughes, 27, of Colerain Township in suburban Cincinnati was arrested Thursday and charged with making false alarms. Officials say he had received three verbal warnings and a written warning in recent months for his behavior.
"The arrested continues to abuse emergency services by calling 911 for a life squad every time he gets highly intoxicated," police wrote on Hughes' arrest report.
Hughes signed a written warning about the behavior on Wednesday, but 911 was called again Thursday and police returned to his residence to arrest him.
Officers stated in court documents that each of the previous times Hughes had called, he was evaluated and nothing was found to be wrong medically.
Hughes is being held on a $30,000 bond while he awaits an April 6 trial.
