Debris found earlier this week in Mozambique is most likely from Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, which*vanished mysteriously after taking off from Kuala Lumpur two years ago, news organizations reported.

Malaysia's prime minister confirms a wing flap that washed ashore on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean is confirmed to have come from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

The fact that the debris washed up along the east coast of Africa was consistent with drift patterns theorized by investigators, Darren Chester, the Australian transportation minister, said in a statement, ABC reported.
"The analysis has concluded the debris is almost certainly from MH370," Chester said in the statement. The flight carried 239 passengers.
The debris was found outside of the coastal town of Vilankulo by a lawyer from Seattle, The New Daily reported.
The Australian Transportation Safety Bureau, Geoscience Australia, Boeing and Australian National University assisted with the investigation, according to The New Daily.
Another piece of wreckage, a wing flaperon, was found on the island of Reunion in the French Indian Ocean in July 2015.
