Gunfire has erupted during a raid in the Paris suburb of Saint<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Denis, possibly resulting in the deaths of at least two people and injuring several officers, according to media reports.
Police confirmed to CNN that a raid was taking place in the town, which is north of Paris. The raid is believed to be linked to Friday's attacks in the capital, The Associated Press reported.
Police have been searching for<span style="color: Red;">*</span>two suspects in connection with the attacks, which left at least 129 victims dead and hundreds injured.

French journalist Djamel Mazi said on Twitter that two or<span style="color: Red;">*</span>three men had barricaded themselves in an apartment in Saint Denis.
Residents of the town had been evacuated and placed in shelters in the town hall, Mazi reported.
Several police officers were injured in the gunfire exchange, AP reported.
French newspaper<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Le Monde<span style="color: Red;">*</span>reported that at least two people were killed during the raid. A source told the paper that a final confirmation was not possible because the operation was ongoing.
France Info, a French public radio station, reported that Saint Denis Mayor<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Didier Paillard says the shooting has not stopped since 4:30 a.m. local time.
Paillard told AP that transport had been stopped in the town and schools in the center of town would not open Wednesday.
Ambulances and special SWAT teams are on the scene, AP reported.
