OKLAHOMA CITY*—*Bernie Sanders didn’t spend time in Oklahoma Sunday focusing on his massive defeat in South Carolina’s Saturday primary.
Instead, the Democratic presidential candidate*looked ahead to the general election and beating GOP hopeful Donald Trump.
At an Oklahoma City rally, Sanders drew big applause for saying that nothing would please him more than defeating the New York billionaire.
He said Americans won’t want a president who insults Mexicans, Muslims, women, African Americans, veterans and “basically anybody who does not look" like him.

“Some of his supporters say we like Mr. Trump because he tells it like it is. Bigotry is not telling it like it is,” Sanders said to cheers from about*6,000 supporters. “We will win because bringing people together trumps divisiveness. We will win because community trumps selfishness. And mostly, most importantly, we will win because love trumps hatred.”
Earlier Sunday, Sanders criticized Trump for not disavowing support from David Duke, the ex-Ku Klux Klan leader. Sanders’ tweet — “America's first black president cannot and will not be succeeded by a hatemonger who refuses to condemn the KKK” — was retweeted by his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton’s account.

At the Oklahoma rally, Sanders pointed to his differences with Clinton and called once again for Clinton to release transcripts of paid speeches she gave to Goldman Sachs and other special interest groups. Clinton has said she would release the transcripts when others, including Republicans, release theirs.
“I think if you’re going to get paid $200,000 for a speech it must be a pretty damned good speech and if it’s such a good speech you got to release the transcripts. Let everybody see them,” Sanders said in Oklahoma City. “In fact, I can’t wait to see it. It has to be an unbelievably great speech.”
