Steve Harvey's epic mistake
We can't even imagine what it must be like to be Steve Harvey today. Or last night, moments after he realized he had announced the wrong winner of the Miss Universe contest on live TV. If you've somehow managed to not see it, here is the five-minute YouTube version.*But what we really want to watch is right below*—*a video of Harvey after the show explaining in his own words how it all went down, describing the epic error as an "honest mistake."

Lindsey Graham ends presidential bid and perfect record
And then there were ... 13. South Carolina Sen.*Lindsey Graham told his supporters Monday*morning in a video, "While we have run a campaign that has made a real difference, I have concluded this is not my time" and dropped out of the presidential race. While others have also dropped out, this move marked a first for Graham — his first political defeat. He has a perfect record at the ballot box — one election to the South Carolina House, five to the U.S. House and three to the U.S. Senate.

It's literally the longest night of the year
The winter solstice is the precise moment the Northern Hemisphere is tilted its farthest from the sun all year, says @usatodayweather. And this year, that moment happens Monday at exactly 11:48 p.m. ET*(or 10:48 p.m. CT, 9:48 p.m. MT and 8:48 p.m. PT — OK,*you get it). So on this dark(est) day (of the year), here are two inspiring-slash-watercooler-like facts to amaze your friends: 1.) It's 90 days until the spring equinox,*despite it looking and feeling like spring right now in the Eastern U.S. 2.) Winter's shortest day is typically not the coldest day of the year. That must explain these*summer-like Santas*...
