After bashing Democratic rival Hillary Clinton over the 2011 invasion of Libya, it turns out that Donald Trump also supported the removal of the late dictator<span style="color: Red;">*</span>Moammar Gadhafi.
"I was for something, but I wasn't for what we have right now," Trump said on CBS' Face The Nation.
The CBS program showed<span style="color: Red;">*</span>a video blog from 2011 in which Trump said of Libya and Gadhafi:<span style="color: Red;">*</span>"Now we should go in. We should stop this guy."
On the campaign trail this year, Trump has criticized then-Secretary of State Clinton for the 2011 invasion, saying it de-stabilized Libya and made the nation a haven for Islamic State terrorists.
Asked about the contradiction on CBS, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said he supported a "surgical" operation in Libya.
"But I wasn't for what happened," Trump said. "Look at the way ...<span style="color: Red;">*</span>I mean look at ... With Benghazi and all of the problems that we've had. It was handled horribly."
