WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A rookie police officer was killed, and two others were wounded in a domestic related shooting Saturday night in the Washington suburb of Prince William County, Va.
A woman was reportedly found dead after police arrived at<span style="color: Red;">*</span>the scene, and county authorities were said to be<span style="color: Red;">*</span>preparing a<span style="color: Red;">*</span>capital murder<span style="color: Red;">*</span>charge and other charges against a suspect identified as a military serviceman.
Officer Ashley Guindon died from her injuries, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Identities of others involved in the incident, whether officers or civilian, have not been released.
Guindon had been sworn in to the Prince William County Police Department on Friday and began her first shift this weekend.

The other officers are being treated at Fairfax Hospital. Their conditions were unknown.
Police said the<span style="color: Red;">*</span>suspect is in custody.
The incident occurred in the 13000 Lashmere Court in Woodbridge.
The Associated Press said that Prince William County Commonwealth Attorney Paul Ebert said<span style="color: Red;">*</span>he has authorized capital murder and others charges against the suspect.
WUSA9 spoke with neighbors who said they heard gunshots.
