Police say a restraining order had recently expired when a man went to the home of his estranged wife and killed her, her boyfriend, and shot four children. Two of them died. VPC

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities identified the adults Sunday involved in a shooting at a suburban Atlanta home that left five people dead and two others injured Saturday afternoon.
Cedric G. Prather, 33, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting his ex-wife, another adult and two children Saturday afternoon in Douglasville, Ga., about 20 miles west of Atlanta, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Sunday. A hometown for Prather was not given.
The three adults and four children were found shot inside and outside the house.

Lt. Glenn Daniel of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office identified 33-year-old Latoya A. Andrews, Prather's ex-wife, and Joseph Terry Brown, 33, as the adults who died. A 7-year-old child died at the scene; and a 9-year-old child was taken to a hospital and later died, the sheriff's office said in a statement.
Two juveniles — a 15-year-old and an 8-year-old — were in critical but stable condition at a hospital Sunday, police said.
Prather was found injured at the scene and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Authorities haven't identified any of the children who were shot.
Horrified neighbors called 911 and then tried to help the severely injured victims as best they could before rescuers arrived.
A news conference is planned for Monday in Douglasville, where authorities plan to share more details of how the shooting transpired. Officials hoped to share something about the motive during the news conference, Daniel told The Associated Press. Daniel said he didn't have any information about the gun used in the crime.
Investigators say Prather purposely parked his car up the hill away from the home, walked up to it and started shooting. His car was later towed away as evidence.
Douglas County Sheriff's officials say a news conference will be held Monday at 10 a.m. to discuss more details of the incident.
