What's so funny? Martin Shkreli wouldn't say. He pleaded the Fifth.(Photo: Mark Wilson, Getty Images)

[h=2]'It's not funny, Mr. Shkreli': Smiles can't distract[/h]Remember Martin Shkreli, the guy who hiked the price of a life-saving drug 5,000%, from $13.50 to $750,*then defended it? It’ll be hard to forget his face after Thursday, when he smirked and grinned his way through a congressional hearing instead of answering questions. Shkreli*refused to testify, repeatedly citing his*Fifth Amendment*right not to incriminate himself. "It's not funny, Mr. Shkreli,”*Rep.*Elijah Cummings, D-Md. said. "People are dying, and they're getting sicker and sicker.” After the hearing, Shkreli removed any doubt about his feelings via*Twitter:
Hard to accept that these imbeciles represent the people in our government.

[h=2][/h][h=2]Nothing's certain but taxes, except when e-filing is down[/h]If you’re trying to get a jump on your taxes, slow your (bank)roll: The IRS’ e-filing system has been down since Wednesday. The “Where’s My Refund?” feature on the irs.gov website is back up, and the agency said taxpayers can continue their normal process of sending returns to tax-prep firms, but that’s little consolation if you were due a refund and were doing your own paperwork. And if, like the rest of us, you’re not even close to there yet, you should be keeping an eye out for your W-2. We’re left wondering: When is this all going to be automated?
[h=2]Turns out your Facebook friends aren't fake[/h]Ahead of Facebook's 12th anniversary Thursday, Mark Zuckerberg said the company's goal is to have 5 billion of the world’s 7 billion people connected to the social network by 2030. That's a lot of humans. For all but the die-hard, social media is inescapable. But what is it doing to our friendships? A bunch of really smart people say while social networks change the way friends communicate, the institution of friendship isn't changing. All friendships have the same ingredients, but you may have to work harder to read the social cues that make us close.

It's Facebook's 12th birthday and the company wants to highlight the importance of friendship by sending each Facebook user a personalized video. VPC
