The “Where’s My Refund?” feature on the irs.gov website is back up, and the agency said taxpayers can continue their normal process of sending returns to tax-prep firms, but that’s little consolation if you were due a refund and were doing your own paperwork. And if, like the rest of us, you’re not even close to there yet, you should be keeping an eye out for your W-2. We’re left wondering: When is this all going to be automated?

That's a lot of humans. For all but the die-hard, social media is inescapable. But what is it doing to our friendships? A bunch of really smart people say while social networks change the way friends communicate, the institution of friendship isn't changing. All friendships have the same ingredients, but you may have to work harder to read the social cues that make us close.
