MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis police officer was shot at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Two Minneapolis police officers were responding to a call for a burglary on the 1100 block of 24th Avenue North.
While they were at their squad car, a single shot hit an officer. The injured officer's partner took him to North Memorial Medical Center for treatment. The officer was listed in satisfactory condition.
Chief Janee Harteau released a statement saying the officer was likely the intended target of the shooting.
