Chris, it would be great if you can explain us in a simple manner...how to speed up our forums step wise. Just two days back I have attempted to do some modifications as per the threads of vb.org. But not only failed to getting good results.... also i got some errors. I think i can handle those errors.
I need details on the following areas:

- Leverage browser caching
- Combine external JavaScript
- Combine external CSS
- Serve static content from a cookieless domain
- Remove query strings from static resources
- Specify a Vary: Accept-Encoding header
- Minimize redirects
